Biography

I am a Lecturer at the S. K. Yee School of Health Sciences, Saint Francis University, where I teach community health nursing, health assessment, pathophysiology and pharmacology, and clinical simulation., in which I employ innovative pedagogies in my teaching. I am a Registered Nurse, a Certified Aromatherapist and a Certified Meditation and Mindfulness Teacher, holding a Master of Medical Science from The University of Hong Kong, a Postgraduate Certificate in Public Health from the University of Edinburgh, and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Nursing from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Before joining SFU, I served as District Health-in-Charge in Sham Shui Po, coordinating three nurse stations and leading community nursing services, case management, and health education programmes including evidence-based aromatherapy and wellness education for elderly and chronic disease populations. During the pandemic, my team exceeded key performance targets. Previously, I held research positions at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, focusing on musculoskeletal health, occupational health, sleep, and osteoarthritis, while mentoring students in primary health care.

In 2019, one of my innovative projects, the Squatty Commode—an ergonomic design to promote healthy defecation and reduce fall risks—was named Champion of the Hong Kong Social Enterprise Challenge. Also, I have been deeply interested in programming since childhood and in health technology and Web 3 applications in recent years. I continue to explore AI-enhanced telehealth applications, data analytics tools, and digital solutions to improve nursing practice and patient-centred care.
