Established in 1985, Saint Francis University (formerly known as Caritas Institute of Higher Education,CIHE) enjoyed a long tradition as caring institutions, offering post-secondary education courses. CIHE aimed to become the first Catholic University of the city, Caritas Institute of Higher Education was approved by the Chief Executive in Council to announce that it is renamed Saint Francis University on 9 January 2024.
In 2011, SFU together with the sister school Caritas Bianchi College of Careers (CBCC), which is focusing in providing sub-degree programmes, strives to proivde an comprehensive articulation pathways for the students.
This bi-college system offers flexible and diverse advancement pathways covering Postgraduate, Undergraduate, Sub-degree and Diploma programmes in over 35 subject areas, to empower students from all walks of life with quality vocational and professional education.
