• The Global and Mainland Engagement Division (GMED) is dedicated to strengthening the university's global and mainland networks and collaborations. Our mission is to foster sustainable partnerships with both Mainland and international entities, promoting mutual benefits and development through the university's strategic alliances.
• We play a pivotal role in supporting the university's international student recruitment efforts and facilitating a diverse array of student and academic exchange programs. Through these initiatives, we aim to enhance SFU's brand presence on the global stage and advance our commitment to internationalization, striving to cultivate a more interconnected and collaborative academic community.

Mission and Vision

• Connect with global and mainland institutions to explore collaborative opportunities in research and development (R & D), as well as student and staff exchanges, cultural and knowledge sharing, and technology transfer.
• Broaden the scope of academic and scholarly exchanges between global partners, Mainland China, and Hong Kong.
• Facilitate student recruitment and exchange initiatives with higher education institutions in global and Mainland China.
