Media Coverage on Effectiveness of Play Therapy for Children with Special Educational Needs

To provide emotional support and build a caring and inclusive society, yNOTplay Play Therapy Social Enterprise has collaborated with Dr. LOW Yiu Tsang Andrew at Saint Francis University to conduct research on the effectiveness of play therapy for children with special educational needs.  

In the first phase of this research project, 36 children aged between 3 and 12 with emotional, social, and/or behavioral issues from low-income families were referred by registered social workers. This research demonstrates that play therapy has significant effects in improving emotional, behavioral, and social abilities of children with special educational needs, proving that the individual and group play therapy programs adopted by this project have a positive impact on these children.
