With the implementation of the "0+3" quarantine arrangement in Hong Kong, many citizens who have planned or have set out to travel overseas, also bring medicine as a safety precaution. Caritas Institute of Higher Education's Community Health Care Centre "Caritas St. Francis Pharmacy" thus launched a travel medicine kit service. Registered pharmacists will prepare the kits according to the health status of the service user, their relatives and friends, as well as the pandemic situation of the travel destination. Preparation of medical travel kits and health advising provides relief and ease for citizens when traveling.
Caritas St. Francis Pharmacy will also provide drug consultation services, management services of acute illness, such as headache, fever, stomach pain, acid reflux, diarrhea, vomiting, cough, phlegm, sore throat, nasal allergies and other symptoms. Different health measures will be prescribed, such as taking nutritional supplements or exercising. The Pharmacy also provides purchasing services for medicines and health products.
For drug consultation services, registered pharmacists will provide detailed explanations of the effects, methods of intake and precautions of various drugs to service users, and they will respond to questions about drugs and provide advising for life and health management. Registered pharmacists will also refer service users to other medical professionals, such as doctors or nutritionists if necessary. HK$20 will be charged each time the service is used. You can call or send a message via WhatsApp to 9685 1037 to make an appointment.
If service users feel unwell, the registered pharmacist will consult the patient about their wellness and suggest ways to approach it. If necessary, appropriate medication will be prescribed to relieve discomfort as soon as possible. If service users want to buy medicine or health products, the pharmacy can provide purchasing services to sell related products at a reasonable price.
