On 11 February 2026, Saint Francis University (SFU) had the pleasure of hosting a campus tour and exchange session for the administrative staff from Caritas Secondary Schools across Hong Kong.
During the visit, our guests have participated in a guided tour to learn more about SFU's teaching facilities, including the well‑equipped Physiotherapy Laboratory, Dispensing Laboratory, Design and Film & Media Production Studios, Hotel Simulation Rooms, and the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. The group also attended an information session arranged by the Recruitment and Engagement Team, and learned more about SFU's unique positioning as an Applied Science University, its programme offerings, and the career prospects of its graduates.
We believe the visit has provided the team from Caritas Secondary Schools a more comprehensive understanding of SFU's articulation pathway structure and scholarship schemes available to their DSE graduating students.

On 5 December 2025, a group of six teachers from Tak Sun Secondary School visited Saint Francis University (SFU) for the first time. As an all-boys secondary school, Tak Sun places a strong emphasis on science and computing, making this visit particularly relevant.
The teachers attended an introductory talk that provided insights into our campus, academic offerings, and the distinctions between traditional universities and universities of applied sciences. They toured our state-of-the-art nursing and physiotherapy labs, where some of their graduates are enrolled for the academic year 2025-2026.
Additionally, our Yam Pak Charitable Foundation School of Computing and Information Sciences (CIS) hosted an engaging talk moderated by Mr Paul Hodgson and Dr William Cheung. They shared courses in AI, DET, and Crime and Security, highlighting potential career paths in these fields.
The visiting teachers found the experience highly informative and appreciated the opportunity to explore the possibilities SFU offers their students.


On 3 December 2025, Saint Francis University (SFU) participated in the Lantau Island Joint-School HKDSE Mock Exam Released Day 2025, an annual event organized by HKSKH Tung Chung Integrated Services.
The event provides a valuable platform for over 500 students and teachers from 6 participating schools – Buddist Fat Ho Memorial School, HKFEW Wong Cho Bau Secondary School, Ho Yu College and Primary School (Sponsored by Sik Sik Yuen), Ling Liang Church E Wun Secondary School, PLK Mrs Ma Kam Ming Cheung Fook Sien College, Tung Chung Catholic School – to gain insights into higher education opportunities and the career prospects across various industries. It also helps students to prepare for post-HKDSE applications and interviews.
We have invited Mr. Gary Lam from the Caritas Bianchi College of Careers Irene Lam Department of Design, and Mr. Stephen So from Yam Pak Charitable School of Computing and Information Science represented SFU and engaged with the HKDSE students.
A key highlight of the event was the Design Talk delivered by Mr. Gary Lam, Senior Lecturer (Graphic Design) cum Head, Department of Design. The session provided an overview for students interested in design, offering a clearer understanding of available programmes and career pathways in graphic, fashion or interior architect. Participants were very attentive, enjoyed the entire session, and actively engaged with our speaker.

On 29 November 2025, Saint Francis University (SFU) participated in the Joint-School Higher Education Expo 2025 organized by HKSKH Bishop Hall Secondary School. There were an estimate of 500 Form 5 and 6 students, teachers and parents participated in this event; they are from HKSKH Bishop Hall Secondary School, Po Kok Secondary School, St Stephen's Church College and China Holiness College.
Multiple activities were taking place simultaneously during the event. As part of the event, a thematic talk on Applied Science University (UAS) was held for parents. Representatives from four institutions – SFU, Metropolitan University, Tung Wah College and THEi – sharing insights on UAS programme offerings and their QF / professional recognition. SFU was represented by Dr. Michael Lai, Assistant Professor at the Rita Tong School of Business and Hospitality Management.
There different interactive tasting programmes were also conducted on-site by SFU, allowing students to explore areas in business management, social care and virtual content development. Representatives from Rita Tong School of Business and Hospitality Management, Felizberta Lo Padilla Tong School of Social Science, and Yam Pak Charitable Foundation School of Computing and Information Science hosted these engaging activities. These activities demonstrated our strong commitment to helping students make informed choices for their higher education and career pathway.
At the SFU information booth, the recruitment team provided support to answer participants' inquiries, such as programme offerings and application procedures. Students, teachers, and parents received information on relevant topics such as articulation pathways and fee-waived applications.

Saint Francis University ("SFU") participated in the 3rd Ming Pao Greater Bay Area (GBA) Hong Kong School Education Expo, held from November 28 to 30, 2025 at AsiaWorld‑Expo.
Over the 3 days, approximately 100 visitors approached the University's booth. Many expressed strong interest in SFU, particularly as the institution is relatively new to mainland Chinese audiences. Through face‑to‑face conversations, our representatives introduced the University's academic strengths, programme offerings, and student support philosophy, enabling visitors to gain a better understanding of the opportunities available at SFU.
Participation in the Expo further strengthened the University's visibility in the Greater Bay Area and laid the groundwork for future connections with students and families seeking diverse and high‑quality study options.

On 27 October 2025, Dr Kat Leung, Vice‑President (Administration) and Institute Secretary of Saint Francis University (SFU), and Dr Aries Chan, Assistant Director of the Public Affairs Office (Recruitment and Engagement) and Head of the Global and Mainland Engagement Division, visited San Wui Commercial Society Chan Pak Sha School (SWCS Chan Pak Sha School) for an exchange visit.
Principal Ms Chan Ying‑ying and her team warmly welcomed the SFU team, and accompanied them on a campus tour, and shared in‑depth insights into the school's educational philosophy and distinctive features.
During the campus visit, Principal Chan shared the school's focus on balanced, whole‑person development - cultivating student's intellectual growth, physical and mental well‑being. To achieve this goal, the school combines rigorous academic standards with a wide range of co‑curricular programmes to support student development: the Football, Basketball and Volleyball Teams; Wind Band; Martial Arts Team; and Drum Team.
The Drum Team won the Silver Award at the Joint School Music Contest 2025, and the Dragon‑boat Team earned the third place in the 2025 Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Invitation Race - Secondary School Championship and Chairman's Shield.
The school also organises annual off‑campus learning trips to mainland cities to explore technology industries and historical culture, visits to Hong Kong International Airport to learn about operations and industry development, tours to Ocean Park for ecological education, and community service activities such as grooming services for elderly and grassroots groups, all of which foster students' organisational skills, teamwork and community care.
In the exchange, Dr Leung shared detailed perspectives on SFU admission pathways, cultural exchange opportunities and student development support, and both sides engaged in a fruitful exchange of views. Principal Chan emphasised the school's strong commitment to students' further education planning and holistic quality development and expressed interest in establishing a long‑term collaboration with Saint Francis University. The visit laid the groundwork for future cooperation, with both institutions indicating a desire to build partnership initiatives to support student growth and contribute to educational development.


On November 2, 2025, Saint Francis University participated in the JUPAS Info Day organised by Ming Pao at the Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel in Hong Kong. Our academic staff and representatives from the Public Affairs Office (Recruitment & Engagement Team) engaged with approximately 250 visitors, primarily Form 5 and Form 6 students and their parents. Many expressed strong interest in our programmes and articulation pathways, as well as inquiries related to the application procedures.
One of the highlights of the day was a 15-minute programme talk conducted by Dr. Carol Chan, Associate Dean of the School of Health Sciences, which attracted around 40 attendees. Dr. Chan shared insights into our programmes related to Health Sciences and the future career development. The entire event provided a valuable opportunity for local students and their parents who are interested in applying, enhancing their awareness of the our offerings, articulation pathways and potential career pathways.



On October 28, 2025, we were thrilled to host a group of dedicated teachers from Cheng Chek Chee Secondary School at Saint Francis University. This visit provided a fantastic opportunity to share our mission and introduce our programmes and articulation pathways.
The discussions were not just informative but also inspiring, as we exchanged ideas with educators who share our passion for supporting students in their career planning and further studies. We truly value these connections and the collaborative spirit they bring!
After the talk, the teachers also participated in our taster programme organized by the S.K. Yee School of Health Sciences, and they greatly enjoyed this experience.

Saint Francis University participated in the Greater Bay Area Education and Talent Expo 2025 organised by the Hong Kong Teenager All-Round Development Association at Hall 3FG of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from October 3 to 5, 2025, to strengthen the University's visibility across the Greater Bay Area.
Representatives from each of our six academic faculties, along with administrative support staff, were present to engage with the visitors and answer their enquiries. Through face-to-face discussions and video presentations, they introduced the University's diverse programmes, advanced teaching facilities, and its holistic student support and learning philosophy. The Expo enabled attendees to gain a deeper understanding of our institutional strengths and equipped them to plan their future academic and career pathways.

Saint Francis University participated in the Ming Pao Education Expo 2025, held from July 12 to 13, 2025 and organised by Ming Pao Education. The event attracted approximately 12,000 visitors, including students, parents and education sectors. As one of Hong Kong's applied science universities, the university offers a broad range of academic pathways, from foundation diplomas to master's degree programmes.
During the event, faculty representatives from six academic schools and administrative support staff responded to enquiries from students and parents regarding programme selection and career planning. They also introduced the university's educational philosophy. The Expo provided a valuable opportunity for attendees to gain a deeper understanding of the university's academic strengths and student support services which empowering young people to realise their potential and lay a strong foundation for future academic and professional success. Faculty representative answered students and parents' inquiries about subject selection and career development, and introduced the school's curriculum features and teaching philosophy. Visitors can take this opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the advantages of our school's courses and the supporting support for students, helping students to discover their personal potential and lay the foundation for future academic and career development.

Saint Francis University participated in the (GBA) Hong Kong Through‑Train School Expo 2025, held from 4 to 6 July at AsiaWorld‑Expo (Halls 3 & 6). As one of Hong Kong's applied science universities, the University showcased its distinctive educational approach alongside various institutions from across the city.
Faculty representatives from six academic schools and administrative staff were present at the university's booth to engage with visitors and answer enquiries. Over the three-day event, more than 350 visitors engaged with our team, gaining insights into Saint Francis University's academic programmes, student support services, and its commitment to whole-person development.
Saint Francis University (SFU) and Caritas Bianchi College of Careers participated in the Education Bureau's "Information Expo on Multiple Pathways 2025" on May 23 and 24, introducing various admission information to students. SFU and Caritas Bianchi College offer a range of progression pathways suitable for DSE candidates with different results and students holding other qualifications, attracting many students to seize the opportunity to enroll on the spot.
