Latest Updates - SFU President Professor Stephen Cheung Visits Orientation Camp 2026-09-3

Saint Francis University held a joint orientation camp at Wu Kwai Sha Youth Village from 3 to 5 September, attracting 430 new students. Professor Stephen Cheung Yan-leung, President of SFU, personally visited the camp to cheer them on.

During his exchanges with Student Union executive members, the organising committee and the freshmen, Professor Cheung said that university education goes beyond classroom learning and also involves developing empathy and teamwork through group activities. He particularly commended the organising committee for the effort and dedication they had devoted to the event, and encouraged the freshmen to take part in the orientation camp activities with an open mind, get to know classmates from diverse backgrounds, build friendships, and support one another as they grow throughout their university journey.

Professor Cheung later distributed drinks and snacks to the new students. Representatives of the Student Union also presented him with a gift. His warm interactions with the freshmen created a cheerful and harmonious atmosphere.
