The 2nd "3 Days and 2 Nights City Walk - Exploring the Legacy of Hong Kong" Itinerary Design Competition

With the success of the past Itinerary Design Competition, CIHE Rita Tong Liu School of Business and Hospitality Management will organise a similar competition this year. The School now invites Secondary 4 – 6 students in Hong Kong to join the competition of Itinerary Design "3 Days and 2 Nights City Walk - Exploring the Legacy of Hong Kong". Through participation in various activities of the event, students will not only be able to widen their exposure in tourism industry, but also to enhance their skills in video taking and oral presentations. Competition Guidelines
Participates and Competition Rules
- All Secondary 4 – 6 full-time students are welcome.
- Forming a team of 2 to 4 students and producing a short video for visitors visiting Hong Kong. The video should aim to explore and promote the legacy of Hong Kong by recommending an itinerary for the trip of 3 days and 2 nights regarding any topics of Hong Kong attractions, accommodation, transport, and dining reflecting the hybrid of vibrancy and tradition of Hong Kong.
Competition Criteria
- The participant teams compete in the First Round Match for the "Likes" for their video posted on the Facebook page of Caritas Institute of Higher Education and Caritas Bianchi College of Careers (CIHECBCC) between 5 July and 31 July 2021. They can promote their videos by liking them and sharing the video links with their friends for this competition.
- The top four teams earning the most number of "Likes" will be eligible for the Second Round Match, which will be judged by a panel of judges organised by Rita Tong Liu School of Business and Hospitality Management (the School) based on the participants' itinerary design, creativity, and quality of filming.
Video Format
- Prepare a video in the length of 8 to 10 minutes. Any videos shorter than 8 minutes or over 10 minutes will be disqualified.
- No restriction in the video format as long as it can be uploaded to the Facebook page to play.
- Any languages are welcome, such as Cantonese, Putonghua or English to be used in the video.
Application
The Second Round Match and Presentation Ceremony
- Tentatively in the mid of August 2021 on the CIHE/CBCC campus or via the Internet, subject to confirmation.
Important Dates
- Attend a free workshop organised by the School will be held on the CIHE/CBCC campus or via the Internet tentatively in the mid of May 2021 (subject to confirmation). It aims to introduce basic know-how of filming and editing for social media presentation and the itinerary design.
- Submit the video on or before Monday, 28 June 2021 to a sharing platform, e.g. Google Drive or One Drive, and send the shared-link to the School by email (sflau@cihe.edu.hk). Only one video is allowed to be submitted by each team.
- The participants' videos will be posted on the CIHECBCC Facebook page between 5 July and 31 July 2021 for the First Round Match for "Likes".
- The top four teams earning the most number of "Likes" will be invited to participate in the Second Round Match and Presentation Ceremony, which will be announced in the first week of August 2021, subject to confirmation.
- The Second Round Match and Presentation Ceremony will be held on the CIHE/CBCC campus or via the Internet tentatively in the mid of August 2021, subject to confirmation.

The participants should not infringe any copyright and intellectual property rights and are responsible for any disputes in their video contents. The School accepts no responsibility for such disputes.
- The copyright of all submitted videos is vested solely in the School. The participants participating in this competition are assumed to agree that the School can execute by its discretion to use, modify, display, reprint, or reproduce their videos for any purposes. The School is not required to notify the participants and pay the copyright fees.
- The submitted videos must not contain any violent, obscene or indecent contents.
- The videos cannot contain any organisation names, brands, trademark-products or services or any promotional messages.
