Saint Francis University organised "The Application of Artificial Intelligence in Cyber Security" student seminar with HK01

Invited by the media HK01, the Saint Francis University (SFU) organised a seminar for the students of the Hong Kong True Light College on 28 March 2025. Dr HANG Ching Nam, Assistant Professor of the Yam Pak Charitable Foundation School of Computing and Information Sciences, SFU, delivered a talk on the topic "The Application of Artificial Intelligence in Cyber Security".

Over 100 F5 students attended the seminar, Dr HANG introduced to them how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can identify false information and online rumours, explored the application of source detection technology in online fact-checking, and shared common cases of false information and detection methods. The students reacted positively during the seminar.

Dr HANG also introduced 2 new programmes to be offered by SFU in 2025/26 academic year, namely the Bachelor of Crime and Security Science (Honours), and the Higher Diploma in Crime and Security Science
