The Chinese Embassy in Italy hosted an exchange event on 5 September 2025 for a delegation of teachers and students from Saint Francis University (SFU) led by Provost Prof Annie BLIGH. Nearly 80 participants, including Chinese and Italian student representatives, took part in the event at the Embassy. The event featured cultural, artistic, and musical exchanges, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere. The event proved highly rewarding for all participants, fostering mutual understanding and lasting friendships.
Mr LI Xiaoyong, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the Chinese Embassy in Italy, highlighted the importance of the event in broadening Sino-Italian educational and cultural exchanges and strengthening ties among young people from both countries. He expressed hope that Hong Kong youth would continue to uphold patriotic values, carry forward China's rich cultural traditions, and contribute their vitality to global peace and development.
Prof BLIGH remarked that the SFU delegation was honored and delighted to take part in the Embassy's international exchange event. She noted that the experience not only deepened students' understanding of Sino-Italian relations but also strengthened their pride and sense of belonging as Chinese individuals.
