Introduction

In 2020, the Distributed Artificial Intelligence Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Research was established under the UGC/IDS(R)11/19 grant. This initiative focused on advancing research in distributed AI, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration to address complex challenges and drive innovation in the field.

Objective

  1. To bootstrap competence in AI technology research (which in turn benefits the curriculum) with the initial laboratory and learning environment,
  2. To enable participants to learn AI, to begin AI research, which can lead to further AI research with follow-up research fund applications,
  3. To apply AI in other areas (outside computing and information sciences) which can lead to interdisciplinary research with collaboration among different schools.
