Saint Francis University - University titling: FAQ for Alumni

1. When does the university title take effect?

The Chief Executive in Council approved the university status of Caritas Institute of Higher Education (CIHE) on 9 January 2024. CIHE is now renamed "Saint Francis University" in English and "聖方濟各大學" in Chinese.

2. Will the University re-issue graduation certificates for CIHE graduates of past years?

The University is pleased to offer a standard University Titling Statement for graduates holding CIHE certificates issued between 27 May 2011 and 9 January 2024. Further details will be provided by mid-January 2025. For any enquiries, feel free to contact the Registry at registry@sfu.edu.hk.
