Campus Life Instilled with Value Education (CamLIVE)
Introduction
Campus Life Instilled with Value Education (CamLIVE) is a campus-wide value education project aims to enhance the value education for our students through the establishment of a Caritas Value Education Center. The project aims at promoting positive attitudes and behaviors based on the five Catholic core values which have long-been upheld by all Caritas education sectors (Love, Life, Truth, Justice and Family). Students' sense of belonging to our society and country (the value of 'Family') and their identity as national Chinese will also be cultivated. An online transcript system will be developed to record students' participation in Value Education activities.
Objectives
- To implement whole institute value education programmes including the promotion of the five Catholic core values, the promotion of national identity, and the promotion of environmental friendliness
- To develop an online transcript system to record students' participation in value education activities
- To establish the Caritas Value Education Center for the sake of sustaining the implementation of Value Education activities with ongoing outcome evaluation after the termination of funding
Project Deliverables
- Value Education Induction Programme for all first-year students
- Integration of Life Education activities in curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities
- Compulsory lecture on Basic Law and National Security Law
- Designing measurement scales for assessing students' value education
