Soman received her bachelor's degree of Social Sciences in Cinema and Television from Hong Kong Baptist University. During her study, she has won "The Best Screenplay" award in the Summer Short Drama Festival held by Hong Kong Repertory Theatre.
After graduation, she became a scriptwriter, writing films and TV dramas of various themes and genres, including MMA film The Legend, Chinese New Year comedy A Journey Of Happiness, ViuTV drama Till Death Do Us Part and Afterlife Firm, Fantastic Television drama 100 Days Of Love, RTHK Trouble-free Salon and Behind Our Transport System.
One of her feature film A Light Never Goes Out has won the 5th First Feature Film Initiative held by CreateHK of Hong Kong Film Development Council. In 2022, this film was shortlisted in Tokyo International Film Festival, Hong Kong Asian Film Festival and Taiwan Golden Horse Festival. The actress of the film Sylvia Chang Ai-chia has won "The Best Actress" in the 59th Golden Horse Festival. So Man is currently an Assistant Lecturer in Film and Media Production at Caritas Bianchi College of Careers (CBCC), nurturing more young people to enter the film and media industry.
