Currently the Associate Dean of Felizberta Lo Padilla Tong Dean of Social Sciences, Saint Francis University(SFU), Hong Kong. I have been teaching in the higher education sector for almost twenty years, involving actively in academic programmes planning and school management. I am a very experienced fieldwork teacher and has supervised more than 200 students during his service. I started my career as a Team Leader in community work field, and I was subsequently appointed as the Superintendent for a boy's home, serving children with emotional difficulties. I am also active in community service. I was an elected member of Social Workers Registration Board. I am now the chairperson of a social service enterprise providing employment and training opportunities for children with limited intelligence. I am also the committee member of both Hong Kong Association of Schools of Social Work and Asian Association of Addiction Prevention. Besides, I serve as a member of the management board of a primary school.

Mainly in the area of community work and macro-practice, working with young people and programme planning and management, integrative practice. Currently, I am teaching Skills Workshop I and II, Social Work Theory and Practice III.
My research interests cover social work education, fieldwork placement, community development, youth work and addiction. He is the reviewer of a number of journals and publications, including International Social Work, International Journal of Mental Health and Addiction, Asian Journal of Gambling Issues and Public Health and Community Development Resource Book.
Some of the representative research projects include:
(i) Principal Investigator for A Study on the academic stress of social work students in their fieldwork placement, funded by the Faculty Development Scheme of the Research Grant Council of Hong Kong (2021-2023, $589,590)
(ii) Co-Principal Investigator for An exploratory study on establishing social work licensing examination in Macao, funded by The Social Welfare Bureau, Government of Macao Special Administrative Region (2020, $290,000)
(iv) Co-Investigator for Liveability in Rural Sai Kung, funded by Sai Kung Community Centre (2019-2020, $220,000)
(v) Co-Investigator for a study on the Gambling Behavior among Secondary and College Students, funded by Caritas Institute of Higher Education and Asian Association of Addiction Prevention (2018-19)
(vi) Principal Investigator for Youth Participation in Rural Community Affairs in an Urbanized Colony – The Case of Hong Kong, funded by University Grant Council (1991-1993, ~$500,000)
