Biography
Esther Cho is an Associate Professor at Felizberta Lo Padilla Tong School of Social Sciences. Her research interests center on the wellbeing of children and young people. Her scholarly work has covered a range of areas, including comparative child wellbeing, child poverty, comparative child benefits, financial literacy and wellbeing of ethnic minority young adults, transition to work for ethnic minority youth, and defamilisation. Her recent research study focuses on the wellbeing of primary schoolchildren in Hong Kong. Dr. Cho's teaching interests include social research methods, life span development, and diversity and equality. Before joining CIHE, she was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work and Associate Director of Centre for Youth Research and Practice at Hong Kong Baptist University.
