Biography
Dr SIU is currently an Assistant Professor of the Felizberta Lo Padilla Tong School of Social Sciences at Caritas Institute of Higher Education, Hong Kong. He is concentrating in delivering lectures in psychology and social work practice, and providing fieldwork supervision to social work students in both sub-degree and degree programmes.
He received Doctor in Philosophy from University of Hong Kong in 2019. His research area focused on the participatory research, innovative qualitative methodology, psychodermatology, health social work, resilience and social work education pedagogy.
He is trained as social worker by profession, and has served the field of children and their family, youth and school, and health social work for 14 years, with expertise in working with people with special educational needs, relationship challenge, and personal growth issue. He is competent in delivering psychosocial, body-, spiritual-, meditation-based intervention through integrative body-mind-spirit approach, psychodynamic approach and the Satir model. He is also fluent in project management and quality monitoring in agency.
