Dr. WONG Yun Chuen

Biography

Dr. YC WONG joined CIHE in August, 2023. His expertise is social work and politics, community practice, housing social work, social policy, resident participation and housing management. Dr. WONG has possessed substantial experience in teaching, fieldwork supervision, student academic project and thesis supervision at the University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, Polytechnic University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, Shue Yan University, Hong Kong College Technology and University of Macau. Previously being a trainer of a human service consultancy company, he offered in-house trainings for staff from NGOs and managerial staff of property management companies in Hong Kong, Macau and Shen Zhen. 

Dr. WONG, a 'RSW', has 30 years of frontline experience in social work and community development serving various underprivileged groups (children and youth, women, singleton elderly, new arrivals, low income families, homelessness living in the inadequate & deprived housings such as squatters, temporary housing areas, cage-dwellings, sub-divided units, roof-top structures, private elderly homes, dilapidated buildings in old urban area & public housing estates in the new towns with engagement in policy advocacy in Hong Kong.
