Biography

Mr LIU Kwok Hong has worked in community development and substance abuse service and china development in his earlier social work career. After that, he focused on the application of art in social service which has already seeded in his earlier period of social service. From 2012, Mr LIU started to work with various organizations and institutions to hold community-based art projects and exhibitions. He believes that art is a medium for connecting with people, communities, and personal spaces to from new human existential meaning. Art is not merely ornamental; it creates a unique experience for both the artist and the audience. Liu received the Kan Tai Keung Design Award (2016) and the Young Creative Entrepreneur Award (2015), and his art piece, Butterfly, is held in the collection of the Hong Kong Baptist University. Mr LIU is also the co-author of "Mixed Media 72 Art Activity", published in 2019.
