Mr Michael PAK Chui Man

Biography

I am a senior lecturer of the Felizberta Lo Padilla Tong School of Social Sciences. I have been working as a social worker for more than thirty years. I have served different groups of people in needs and held various positions in non-profit organizations. My major service targets were elderly, intellectual disabilities, and young people. I held positions ranged from frontline social worker to agency head. I received social worker degree, master in family therapy, and master in management from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. A legal studies diploma was obtained from the University of Hong Kong.

Teaching

I have rich teaching experiences in higher diploma, degree, and master courses. I have taught subjects related to individuals and families, groups, administration and management, ethics, law, psychology, social policy, etc. I have been a practice teacher supervising social work and social policy students from Hong Kong and Chinese Mainland. I have organized many international conferences and training for social work participants, academics, and officials. My reach interests are social work administration and management, ageing, services for elderly and carers, social work ethics, and social work education.
