Thanks to the kind donation of Mrs. Esther Ribeiro de Sousa, a Scholarship has been set up in the name of Fr Lerda, former President of Caritas-Hong Kong. This scholarship aims to award students in sub-degree social work programmes who have achieved excellent academic results and have demonstrated determination to become a committed social worker.

Thanks to the Lee Hysan Foundation for its generous donation to set up the Scholarship. Lee Hysan Foundation was established in Hong Kong in 1973. For over 40 years, the Foundation has been actively supporting a number of meaningful charity initiatives in Hong Kong, covering various sectors including (i) Education, (ii) Arts and Culture, (iii) Environment, and (iv) Health and Social Welfare.
This scholarship aims to award ethnic minority (EM) students who are successfully admitted to any social work programmes in SFU and have demonstrated determination to become a committed social worker for serving the EM community after graduation.
