The vision of the Rita Tong Liu School of Business and Hospitality Management is to add diversity and flexibility to the business higher education sector in support of social and economic advancement in Hong Kong and beyond, so that more students, especially those under-served, are ready to benefit.

In line with the missions of SFU in nurturing graduates who are not only professionally and academically well-prepared but who are also ready to contribute to the social and moral well-being of the community, the missions of the School are to:

• offer selected, quality academic programmes in business which are relevant and responsive to the needs of professional bodies, social-economic sectors and academic communities;
• develop future generations of professionals and leaders with the capability for effective integration of management theories and practices for business and social enterprises;
• provide students with a sturdy grounding in the core competencies as well as a discipline- or sector specific understanding, to meet the demands of the fast-changing business, regulatory and global environments along with digital transformation;
• equip students with capability in analysing and planning which are necessary for decision making and the promotion of social and economic advancements; and
• cultivate the character formation and holistic development of students with high ethical standards, communication skills and critical thinking ability that will prepare students for successful career and life opportunities, and upward mobility.

We offer quality Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) programmes in Accountancy, Corporate Management & Governance, Hotel Management, and Marketing & Event Management which are accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications and relevant local and international professional institutes, including Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), CPA Australia, Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA), The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (HKCGI) and Hong Kong Institute of Marketing (HKIM). The other accredited programme, Bachelor of Entrepreneurial Management (Honours) in Design Business, is the first-of-its-kind interdisciplinary top-up programme which aims at nurturing practitioners to be either entrepreneurs or intrepreneurs in the aesthetic and innovative design industries. The programme also provides support for selected graduates with potential to start up their businesses through the CIHE's Innovative Incubation Centre. The lately accredited Master's programme, Master of Corporate Governance (MCG), aims to help students enhance their career development as Chartered Secretaries or Chartered Governance Professionals. Graduates of MCG are eligible for full exemption from the Qualification Programme Examinations of the Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute.
