The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries (HKICS) has granted the Partnership Bachelor's Programme (PBP) status to the Stream with four subject-exemptions (Maximum) under the Institute's Chartered Governance Qualifying Programme (CGQP) from January 2020 for a term of five years. This is the first Degree Programme which has attained the PBP status under the CGQP which is a new examination scheme of HKICS with effect from January 2020. The Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) has approved the change in the name of the stream to "Corporate Management and Governance" (CMG) and the revised programme curriculum that has been recognized by HKICS for its new CGQP.
