Professor Leung pioneered the concept of physical diagnosis in physiotherapy upon study in manipulative physiotherapy on the Maitland approach in Australia since the 1970's. Since joining the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Professor Leung actualised this concept on undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapy education programmes. Being a firm advocate in the value of clinical experience and expertise in underpinning quality teaching and research, Professor Leung insists on making time in attending to and understanding professional and societal needs through frontline practice. Building on his extensive teaching and clinical experience in Hong Kong and China, Professor Leung sets to share and download his expertise to present and future physiotherapists for their professional service to the community.
