Biography

"Knowledge is of two kinds. We know a subject ourselves, or we know where we can find information upon it." said Samuel Johnson.  Having been engaged in academic librarianship for over two decades, Dr Chau is now entering a new phase of her career.  In her new role in teaching and research as a member of the School of Humanities and Languages, she is excited by the opportunity to make use of what she learnt on knowledge management to better engage in knowledge acquisition.  Her research interests lie in translation of Chinese literature into English.  In her leisure time, she enjoys reading works of Latin literature as one of her favourite diversions.
