Biography
Dr Law Wai Chung (John) has substantial experience in Europe and U.S. transactional commercial practice. He has worked on major financing, real estate, equity in Hong Kong and marketing matters in Japan, Europe and the U.S. as well as participated in numerous English-speaking negotiations in global context. His rich international background and experience enable him to provide useful insights on business environments and English teaching. His teaching philosophy is to broaden the students' perspective and help them to analyze real-world business problems.
Dr Law had further his studies at Abraham Moss College in Britain. He did his Diploma course in design and completed the first year BA (HONS) Design for Communication Media in Manchester Polytechnic. In addition, he holds a Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA) with distinction from University of Ballarat, Australia (major in International Business Management and Business Economics), and a Postgraduate Diploma of Education (PgDE) in teaching English from HKEU. He also earned his Doctorate in management from University of Management and Technology (UMTDBA) and completed his research on language education. Prior to joining the business world, he was an stunt actor and had participated in International as well as local films and had also worked for ATV Ltd. in Hong Kong and Moving Image Co. in the U.K. as an Assistant Producer before he took up his teaching profession.
Dr Law is a permanent member of Hong Kong Chinese Martial Arts Association and was a member of Hong Kong Auxiliary Medical Service. Apart from practicing Chinese Martial Arts, he is an enthusiast in playing URC models. These hobbies contribute tremendous inspirations on his teaching career.
