David has worked at Caritas Bianchi College of Education since 2000 after returning from Japan, and is currently a lecturer of the Ip Ying To Lee Yu Yee School of Humanities and Languages, teaching English, Japanese, and German.
He obtained his B.A. (Hons) in Japanese Studies and German language at the University of Hong Kong before he studied for a M. Litt degree in cultural studies in Japan under the sponsorship of Japanese Government (Monbusho) Research Student Scholarship. He later received a diploma in teaching English as a second language.
