I have been working as a lecturer here at SFU since September 2015, teaching Academic Reading & Writing and English Communication courses to degree students in various disciplines. I aslo teach Art of Speaking and Bilingual Presentation Skills to Bachelor of Arts undergraduates. I have recently joined the teaching team of the new Bachelor of Arts in Translation Technology programme, teaching Writing Skills for Translators. On the sub-degree level, I teach Use of English and Effective English Communication. I am also involved in teaching the English Language course of Hospital Authority Nursing Schools' Professional Diploma in Nursing with the coordination of our Centre for Advanced and Professional Studies (CAPS).
Before entering the field of tertiary education, I had taught English to Secondary 3 to 7 students for over 17 years. As well as helping students prepare for local public examinations, I spent years designing and delivering courses which equipped students with skills to tackle overseas examiniations, inlcuding IELTS and IGCSE English Language and English Literature. I started teaching English through the mass media when I was invited to co-host an English-Learning programme on Cable TV in 1999. I now host English-learning programmes on social media sites.
