Kathy obtained her Master of Education in Early Childhood Education from The Education Univsersity of Hong Kong with Credit and Certificate for Kindergarten Principals from Hong Kong Baptist University. She received her Postgraduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education from The Education University of Hong Kong, Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care from University Preparation College (Australia) and Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in English Language and Literature from Hong Kong Shue Yan University. She has 10 years of practical teaching and management experience in local and international kindergartens. Kathy holds a qualification of early childhood educator in Australia and has practical experince in teaching and taking care of 0-6 age children at child care centre in Sydney. Her research interests include language and literacy in early childhood, teachers' professional development, and school-family-community partnership.
