The Entrance Scholarship is awarded to applicants who have outstanding performance in their most recent DSE, Sub-degree, or Undergraduate results.

Local students who are newly admitted and meet the following academic requirements will be eligible. No application is necessary. The University will identify qualified students for the scholarship awards.

An interview may be conducted as part of the scholarship selection process.

Remarks:

  1. The total score of the best 5 HKDSE subjects is calculated as follows: 
    • Any core or electives subjects in HKDSE will be taken into account. Mathematics extended modules (M1/M2) are considered as independent subjects in the total score calculation. The HKDSE level attainments are converted to level points as follows: 5**=7, 5*=6, etc…
    •  "Attained" and "Attained with Distinction" in Applied Learning (ApL) subjects are considered to be equivalent to Level 2 and Level 3 in DSE subjects respectively. A maximum of 2 ApL subjects are allowed to be taken into account.
  2. CGPA score requirements are calculated based on a 4.0 scale
  3. The scores of best 6 subjects are calculated based on the following scale: A. = 5 pts; B. = 4 pts; C. = 3 pts; D. = 2 pts; E. = 1 pt; F. = 0 pt
  4. The scholarship schemes mentioned above are mutually exclusive, meaning that students supported by one scheme cannot receive support from another at the same time.
