陈诗华博士
背景简介
陈博士在香港科技大学获得生物学学士学位,之后在香港浸会大学获得教育学深造文凭,并在香港中文大学获得药理学博士学位。她先后在母校香港中文大学生物医学学院和内科及药物治疗学系临床药理学部完成博士后研究。陈博士拥有超过 15 年的研究经验,专注于与餵食噁心呕吐控制、糖尿病和心血管疾病相关的机制,是英国皇家生物学会的特许生物学家,并于 2024 年 4 月被理事会选为英国皇家生物学会院士以表彰她对生物科学的贡献以及整个职业生涯中具有影响力的经历。她于2012年加入SFU担任助理教授,并于2016年成为健康科学学院副教授,同时担任香港生物学会主席、Gut Rhythm R&D (HK) Ltd顾问专业药理学家以及香港中文大学生物医学学院肿瘤生物学及实验药物治疗学主题研究组成员。
教学
陈博士曾任教的科目包括人体解剖学与生理学 (BIOL112) 、生物与生命科学 (HDE102) 、人体病理生理学 (BIOL113) 、药理学及治疗学导论(PHAR112) 、药理学及治疗学 (二) (PHAR215) 、基本药理学 (HECA201) 、微生物学及感染控制 (HECA083) 以及微生物学与护理 (NUR103)。她同时任教医院管理局护理学课程、圣德肋撒医院护理学课程以及仁安医院护理学课程。陈博士曾任教的科目包括生命科学、微生物学与药理学导论、人类生物学及临床微生物学。
研究
噁心和呕吐,无论是在药物治疗后还是由于疾病诱发,都可能令人虚弱。我们使用鼩鼱作为动物模型,因为常用的实验室动物不能呕吐,因此新化学成份诱发噁心和呕吐的潜力在标准实验研究中经常被忽略。我们通过使用行为测试、手术和无线电遥测技术,再加上免疫组织化学,可以同时收集一系列相关数据,包括行为实验期间的心血管功能和胃动力,还可以获得与进食、噁心和呕吐控制机制相关的信号通路,以补充和证实其他数据。
