熊淑茹博士现为明爱专上学院健康科学学院教授。她在香港中文大学、香港理工大学和东华学院等多所高等教育机构任教逾二十五年。熊博士拥有丰富的教学经验,主要教授本科和研究生护理课程。
在高等教育机构担任教员之前,她拥有约十五年的临床护理经验。此外,她还参加了本地和海外的灾难、紧急和创伤护理培训、虚拟现实和模拟课程。熊博士亦积极参与各种专业培训和社区义工服务。
熊博士的研究兴趣源于她丰富的急诊护理经验,专注于急诊科专业护士提供的临终和丧亲护理。她扩展了她的研究兴趣,以探索灾难教育和医疗护理专业人员和公众心理健康的有效性。提升未来专业护士应对突发公共卫生事件和灾难事件的能力,为广大群众提供心理和生命支持。
