背景简介

李志权博士是本港其中一位较少数而又活跃的音乐理论学者。他的研究不限于音乐范畴里，他亦于不同的地区及国际研讨会上发表有关圣经和神学与音乐研究丶以及音乐教育和大专音乐课程发展的论文。他近期的研究项目包括利用音乐语意学从天主教丶神学及梅湘自己独特的综合感官知觉去分析及解读他的音乐作品。李氏现为圣方济各大学及明爱白英奇专业学校之助理教授及音乐研习高级文凭的课程主任，负责统筹及研发各等级的音乐课程及科目。他早年于香港中文大学修读音乐，取得文学士和哲学硕士学位。随后，他获得全数奖学金赴美国纽约州立大学水牛城分校攻读音乐理论并且取得了哲学博士学位。在课余时，李氏亦享受烹调不同的食物丶阅读及为好友的演奏会担任摄影师。
