刘学言先生
背景简介
刘学言,英国雷丁大学(The University of Reading)博士生,研究英文歌词社会语言学,同时亦是香港明爱专上学院语文及通识科讲师。先后在香港大学和香港中文大学取得两个文学硕士学位,主修领域分别是语言学和哲学。前者以优异(Distinction)成绩修毕,而后者更是获得院长嘉许誉录(Dean's List)。除了学术领域上的发展,我亦坚持对音乐的热诚,特别是欧美六十年代起的音乐,包括披头四(The Beatles)和后来的皇后乐团(Queen)、老鹰乐团(The Eagles)、Elton John等等。其歌词总是若隐若现地呈现出一些社会性信息。因此,便开始了一系列关于英文歌词的语言学研究。除此之外,亦展开了哲学领域上的写作和研究,主要是包括海德格哲学、中国哲学和哲学辅导。
