馮家宜現為明愛專上學院社會科學院的助理教授。從香港浸會大學取得社會學學士及碩士學位後,便於加拿大的University of Saskatchewan獲取社會學博士學位。她的研究範疇包括社會網絡、照顧者的社會支持及資訊科技。現時正參與一個關於電子遊戲如何影響中年及老年玩家的社會網絡的合作研究。
