Dr. Grace Chih-Nuo CHAO is an Assistant Professor in the Felizberta Lo Padilla Tong School of Science at Caritas Institute of Higher Education, Hong Kong. She obtained her Doctor of Education in Developmental and Educational Psychology at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) and formerly served as a post-doctoral fellow at EdUHK and a research associate at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Before that, she completed a BA in Psychology at the University of Regina, Canada, and a BA in History at Fu Jen Catholic University, Taiwan. Dr. CHAO began her career as a research officer at Hong Kong Baptist University, where she completed an MEd in Child and Adolescent Development.

Dr. CHAO's interests cover six areas of local and global significance: student motivation, gifted education, special education, positive education, teacher education, and VR in education. In particular, she is interested in examining the Universal Design Learning Model on inclusive education. Hence, psychological well-being is significant to educators within the education setting. As shown in her research, teachers' psychological well-being is strongly determined by their self-belief, which is influenced by their relationship with colleagues, and their attitudes toward life and work. Their perception of school culture can also shape their self-belief.
