I am a Senior Lecturer cum Programme Leader of Higher Diploma in Social Work (Part-time Mode) of the Felizberta Lo Padilla Tong School of Social Sciences and have gained more than 15 years of experience in the Social Work industry.

After acquiring a Master Degree of Social Work from University of Hong Kong and being a registered social worker, I started my professional frontline practice in social work and then in social work education. I have been a school social worker for five years and gained a lot of solid clinical experiences from different aspects. I am particularly experienced in casework intervention and programme planning, management and evaluation. Apart from these, fieldwork supervision is also my one of area of expertise.

My experience in teaching covers all in sub-degree, degree and master level. In recent years, I teach social work courses including Social Work Theory and Practice, Programme Planning and Management, as well as Self-understanding Laboratory and Fieldwork I and II.

Social Work Theory and Practice I: I would like to share my front line experience together with theory integration in various casework interventions.

Programme Planning and Management: Focus would be put on different foundation aspects of programme planning, implementation and evaluation process as well as needs assessment and social work intervention.

Self-understanding Laboratory: Enhance students' self-understanding and awareness, self-growth and strengthen their assets to become a social worker.

Fieldwork Supervision: Enhance students' satisfactory demonstration of professional ethics and values, integration of theories into practice and ability to empower client groups and promote social justice.

Apart from teaching, my current research interests are in the areas of clinical social work practice, fieldwork supervision, social work education and youth work services. In the year of 2020-21, I am engaging in 3 research projects and one of which is funded by RGC Faculty Development Scheme (FDS).
