Prof. Alice Chong Ming Lin

背景簡介

莊明蓮教授，現任香港明愛專上學院湯羅鳳賢社會科學院研究教授 。她投身社會工作（尤其是社會老年學）的實務、管理、研究及教學超過四十多年。其中廿八年她乃香港城市大學的學者，教授及社會工作專業領導。她曾於2005至2010年期間出任人文社會科學院 副院長(學生生活與學習），亦為香港中文大學賽馬會公共衛生及基層醫療學院兼任教授 (2018-2022)。她曾任勞工及福利局高級研究主任 (2019-2022) ，致力研究福利及勞工政策 。

莊教授是一位著名的社會老年學家，亦深入研究照顧者需要、死亡學，及以學生為本的教學法。她榮獲超過四千萬港元的研究基金以進行約60項研究，並出版90多篇學術論文，及在90多個國際及地區會議中發言。

莊教授十分熱衷社會服務，分別擔任數間志願機構的董事局成員、副主席或主席。她獲香港特別行政區政府邀請加入不同的專責委員會，例如「安老事務委員會」，「社區投資共享基金委員會」，「攜手扶弱基金諮詢委員會」，「公共圖書館諮詢委員會」，「老有所為委員會」，「長者學苑發展基金委員會」，及「公眾集會及遊行上訴委員會」等。她亦獲選為「香港社會工作教育院校協會」的創會會長。

莊教授獲獎無數，例如於2013年獲香港特別行政區政府頒授「榮譽勳章」，以表揚她對推動社會資本及安老服務的貢獻。莊明蓮教授對教學充滿熱誠，積極投入，除榮獲2012-13年度香港城市大學「卓越教學獎」外，更難能可貴的是在全港大學的教學評審中，獲「大學教育資助委員會」頒予2013年度教資會「傑出教學獎」。
