背景簡介
李志權博士是本港其中一位較少數而又活躍的音樂理論學者。他的研究不限於音樂範疇裏，他亦於不同的地區及國際研討會上發表有關聖經和神學與音樂研究丶以及音樂教育和大專音樂課程發展的論文。他近期的研究項目包括利用音樂語意學從天主教丶神學及梅湘自己獨特的綜合感官知覺去分析及解讀他的音樂作品。李氏現為聖方濟各大學及明愛白英奇專業學校之助理教授及音樂研習高級文憑的課程主任，負責統籌及研發各等級的音樂課程及科目。他早年於香港中文大學修讀音樂，取得文學士和哲學碩士學位。隨後，他獲得全數奬學金赴美國紐約州立大學水牛城分校攻讀音樂理論並且取得了哲學博士學位。在課餘時，李氏亦享受烹調不同的食物丶閱讀及為好友的演奏會擔任攝影師。
