Founded in 1985 as Caritas Francis Hsu College, Saint Francis University (formerly known as Caritas Institute of Higher Education) is committed to offering quality higher education in line with societal and student needs, with flexible and diversified study pathways, in areas including Health Sciences that encompass nursing, physiotherapy and other health-related subjects, and Social Sciences that encompass related professional subjects, to help nurture the talents and manpower needed for building a healthy, caring and inclusive society. Its cross-disciplinary area of Techno-Humanities and Business, encompassing artificial intelligence, digital entertainment technology, languages and culture as well as translation technology, enables students to contribute their efforts and talents to creating innovation and growth. Currently, Saint Francis University offers 14 Bachelor's Degree (including applied degree programmes), 2 Master's Degree and 4 Higher Diploma programmes.
Saint Francis University collaborates with the adjoining sister Caritas Bianchi College of Careers, which focuses mainly on sub-degree programmes, to provide through-train articulation pathways to success so that aspiring young people can achieve their goals, regardless of their starting points.
